Michał Malinowski is a museologist, professional storyteller, educator, writer, artist, and traveler. He studied in Poland, Switzerland, Japan and the USA. On his initiative, the Storyteller Museum was established in Konstancin Jeziorna near Warsaw, which he manages with great passion. It is the world’s first museum dedicated to the traditions of oral history and intangible heritage. Michał Malinowski organizes numerous meetings, workshops and festivals connected to the art of storytelling. He also conducts extensive ethnographic research in Poland and around the world. He is the author of the book Polish Folklore and Folktales, which received the AESOP Accolade Award by the American Folklore Association. In 2007/2008 he received a UNESCO scholarship to organize the exhibition of Amadou Hampate Ba, one of the greatest African thinkers and writers of the 20th century. Since 2014, he has been a member of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Council at the Ministry of Culture. He performs at many world festivals of the art of storytelling from Canada, Spain, France to Iran and India … He presented his original methods of working with fairy tales, cultural heritage and the development of creativity in many international forums. In 2020, he performed at the 33rd International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement in Marrakesh.
